The Drow have left the Dark Lands to the south and have invaded
the central island of Ishdol. The Lords of the Eyrie have already fallen.

     There is deep irony when someone says "It takes all 3 of them to
make a man" - they don't know the half of it (though technically it
should be "they don't know the third of it"). This is, of course, the
team Slick/Willy/Twitch.

     Slick was cleaning the harness, adjusting the straps and generally
winding down for the day. Willy was scratching that spot on his back
that had been itching all day (the harness had stretched just a little
and had rubbed wrong); with his other foot, he was spinning the dagger
in an new pattern he was working on. And Twitch ... Twitch was twitching.

     The attack began with the inn wall blowing in, someone smashing in
through the window, and the door splintering.
